Biggest Techno Cultural Fest 2023
On February 16th and 17th, 2023, KPR Institutions hosted FIESTAA '23.The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are Fiesta'23's key point of emphasis. The event, which was officially recognized by the UN, aims to promote community involvement in the Sustainable Development Goals and increase public knowledge of them.
More than 5000 people signed the KPR SDG Action Pledge at the event's unique SDG pavilion, which was staffed by 60 student volunteers from the Rotaract Club, community services of KPRIET, and KPRCAS.
The volunteers were outlining the objectives and India's SDG ambition, particularly with regard to the 2070 Carbon Net Zero target. In order to raise awareness of the importance of promoting plastic-free alternatives to protect Mother Nature, two students dressed in dresses made of waste plastic to volunteer for a good cause. A model that showed how the SDGs were implemented on the KPRIET campus was on exhibit.
Around 8000 people took part in the various technical events, like workshops, project expos, hackathons, etc., as well as non-technical ones, like fun events, foreign university stalls, Japanese street, and a number of shows, like kite shows, lantern shows, auto shows, bird rooms, ISRO exhibitions, bike stunts, funfair games, etc., that were held during the event.
A Japanese-themed expo called Japanese Street aimed to introduce the customs and culture of Japan to the grounds of our campus. The crew created their own works based on Japanese-themed art to transform the area into a wonderful setting. A Tori gate, lanterns, lights, anime-themed banners, and posters were used to decorate Japanese Street in order to evoke a sense of Japan. To highlight the culture and history of Japan, the cultural team organized a variety of entertaining activities and traditional Japanese games like Kendama, Daruma otoshi, and Hanetsuki.
Additionally, workshops on origami, language, and basic greetings were held, and vendors selling Japanese cuisine presented the country's specialties. Team OTAKU NADU provided support for an anime papercraft workshop that was organized by the IJIAA Forum of KPRIET.
The festival's music and star night combo was warmly welcomed by students. Their performance and energy won our hearts.
On Day 1, guests included Mr. Arjun Das, an emerging actor, as well as Mr. Rio Raj, Ms. Malavika Manoj, and Ms. Bhavya Trikha, a cast member from the film Joe. The Jonix Band team performed their musical evening and infused the atmosphere with beats and rhythm.
On Day 2, celebrities were everywhere at the cultural festival. Mr. Pugazh and Mr. Balamurugan from the movie Kudhukalam, Mr. Vivek Prasanna, Mr. Nishanth Russo, Mr.Vinod Sagar, Mr.Renjith Unni, Mr. Kodangi Vadivelu, Ms.Gayathri Iyer from the Oor Paravai Parundhakadhu movie team, DJ Black and singers, Ms. Sreenidhi and Ms.Vinaita have entrained the students with their mesmerizing performances.
KPR Institutions has shown its commitment to constructing a sustainable future by encouraging community involvement, increasing awareness, and showcasing innovative solutions. The dedication of KPR Institutions to building a sustainable future has been established. Overall, the incident serves as a reminder that both individual and group efforts are required to realize sustainable development goals and build a world that is resilient, equitable, and sustainable for present and future generations.
